Ireland, James II (1685-91), ´Gun-money´ Crown, 1690, 18.4g., king on horseback left, legend starts to left of head, rev. cruciform shields, crown in centre (D.F.366; S.6578), struck on a slightly heavy flan, flaw at top of obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine, little if any evidence of undertype Estimate £ 250-300 The gun-money Crowns were over-struck on the large (early) issues of Halfcrown.
