Sudan Charles Gordon Letters 1884 (22 June) miniature letter addressed in Arabic and signed by Gordon. The message reads "Khartoum & Senaar quite secure and Mahomed Ahmed carries this to you and on his reaching you give him all the news as to the direction and position of relieving force and their number. As for Khartoum there are in excess of 8000 men and the Nik is rapidly rising. On the arrival of the bearer give him 100 reals Megedich from the date arrived"; also 1884 20pi.
