Niger Coast Protectorate Oil Rivers Protectorate Great Britain Stamps used in Oil Rivers 1894 (1 Jan.) envelope registered from Benin River to Birmingham, bearing 21/2d. purple on blue and 3d. purple on yellow each cancelled with "benin river" c.d.s. in red and a further strike, "R" h.s. in red and Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (9.2), all on face, Birmingham Registered oval d.s. (9.2) on reverse; the envelope with light horizontal fold which is barely apparent as it passes through the blue registration crayon.
