Malta 1783 (27 July) entire letter from Malta to Marseille, originally landed at Naples and taxed 3 grana on arrival; re-sent on to Rome and there taxed again at 31/2 bajocchi in manuscript at upper left. Handed to French Office in Rome for forwarding on to Marseille (where charged 4 sols due). A rare and fine entire. Van Der Linden certificate (2002). Estimate £ 500-550
