x Great Britain Used Abroad gibraltar: 1839 (22 Oct.) entire letter from Malaga to Manila, bearing 1855-57 1/- green, strips of three and four, and block of four, cancelled by good to superb strikes of the black "A26" numeral, blue "gibraltar" c.d.s. of 8 November and black handstruck "12" adjacent, the reverse with Hong Kong transit and Manila arrival datestamps; the block defective though in no way detracting from the wonderful appearance of this extremely rare and attractive franking.
