Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues 1840 One Penny Black Plate 1a PC, enormous margins (trace of adjoining stamp at left), on clean entire to London dated 27 August 1840, tied by light strike of the red Maltese Cross with light black Portsmouth despatch d.s. adjacent; adhesive with trace of pressed crease though in no way detracting from the excellent appearance.
