Great Britain Caricatures, Printed and Hand-Illustrated Envelopes 1897 (23 Sept.) intricate watercolour design of a train, a banquet and a political meeting, with the speaker holding aloft a flag (bearing the stamp) whilst cutting down a flagpole bearing a red flag with the initials "SDF" (though to stand for the Social Democratic Federation, a marxist organisation active at the time in fostering labour disputes), used to Kentish Town bearing 1881 1d. lilac tied by London E.C. c.d.s.; very fine and of stunning appearance.
