Pond & Sabelli Atlantic Flight, printed "Via Air Mail" envelope from New York to Rome bearing United States 8c. airmail cancelled by Brooklyn duplex of 7 October - the flight was then delayed until the next year: the address panel showing Brooklyn datestamps of 5 January and 13 May, Leact Ui Concubair (Lahinch, Co. Clare) c.d.s. of 15 May - the plane landed in Ireland after experiencing engine trouble, and Rome arrival c.d.s. of 11 June, signed by the pilots in blue ink at lower-left; fine, clean, attractive and very rare.
