x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1918 (7 June) envelope to Hazelhatch (Co. Dublin), bearing 1912-24 1d. pair (one stamp being diagonally bisected) tied by "johnstown bridge/co. meath" c.d.s´s, the address panel inscribed " 1/2 stamps not available"; vertical fold well clear of the adhesives. Fine, clean and very attractive. Note: Although the use of bisected stamps were officially forbidden exceptions were made during times of civil unrest such as the period between 1916 and 1922 in Ireland. Photo Estimate £ 240-280
