Bank of Ireland, £50, 5 May 1827, serial number 1362, black and white, ornate crowned vignette of Hibernia top left and right, value in rectangular black tablet low left and right, manuscript signature of Corlett low centre, small plate number 121 in left field, reverse blank, small manuscript annotation low right (P. unrecorded denomination), a fresh very fine on Bank of Ireland watermarked paper, attractive and of the highest rarity, an example dated 1832 is in the Bank of Ireland Archive, this note probably a unique type in private hands.
