Ottoman Bank, Treasury first issue, with 12 1/2 % interest on 1,000 kurush, AH156 (1840), black and white on parchment like paper, toughra of Abdul Mejid top centre, the seal of Saib Pasha on reverse (cf P.6 for similar, MC- 1-5), three folds otherwise fresh and original good very fine, banknotes from this period are extremely rare and possibly the second note extant of this type.
