Internment Camp Tokens, World War II, Onchan, [1940-1], (3), value, revs. triskelion, Sixpence (Q.199; K.49; Pr.65; M.136), Penny (Q.198; K.48; Pr.66; M.137), Halfpenny (Q.197; K.47; Pr.67; M.138); Anonymous internment camps, white plastic tokens with value in black (2), Penny, 25mm, and Halfpenny, 21mm (Q.196, 195; K.–; M.–; cf. Ford, lot 248); together with an anonymous token, copper, 19.5mm, triskelion, rev. figure 6 (or 9) (Q.–; K.–; M.–), Q.195-6 very fine, the others nearly extremely fine or better, Q.197-9 unevenly toned; the last three extremely rare (6) Estimate £ 150-180After the Onchan camp was closed, these tokens were used at other internment camps on the island - Granville and Camp ´N´ (Pridmore, p.27). The triskelion on the anonymous copper piece - not confirmed as an internment camp token - is very close in style to that on Q.197-9
