James Stanley, Halfpenny, in brass, 1733, from the same dies as lot 480 (Q.14; cf. S.7409; M.48), and a contemporary forgery of this (Q.12, but not recognized thus); later cast forgeries of the Halfpenny (2), of coin(s) from the same dies as the first but with dates re-fashioned as 1721 and 1722 (Q.6, 7, neither recognized as a forgery); uniface lead token, 18mm, triskelion with i d divided by leg, all incuse (cf. Q.126, but apparently not this piece), fine or better, Q.14 damaged, the last lacquered, an interesting group; the last three extremely rare (5) Estimate £ 120-200The token cannot be positively attributed to Stanley. It could be an impression from an eighteenth-century seal
