x Cape of Good Hope 1861 (20 Aug.) long blue entire (222x90mm.) from Cape Town to Graaf Reinet, bearing at left 1861 "Woodblock" 4d. blue unofficially rouletted, just touched to enormous margins, fresh bright colour and mainly lightly cancelled leaving "Hope" clear, Cape Town oval d.s. in red on reverse. A great rarity and probably the sole such existing example notwithstanding Stevenson´s reference to rouletted "Woodblocks" in his definitive Cape handbook.
