German States Brunswick 1852 (1 Jan.) no watermark, imperf 1sgr. rose, a very fine strip of three with small to large margins neatly tied by "braunschweig" Zweikreisstempel in blue on 1852 (29 Dec.) entire to Berlin and showing, on reverse, Minden-Berlin t.p.o. and arrival d.s. A magnificent franking of which two others exists and no larger multiple is known. Brettl Certificate (1990).
