French Colonies Martinique 1875 (Aug.) envelope (opened-out and with reverse partially shortened) to Guadeloupe, bearing General Issues 1872-77 thick figures of value 30c. drab horizontal pair each lightly cancelled with "mqe" in lozenge, showing manuscript "4" in red crayon, boxed "pd" in red and, on reverse, "martinique" British Post Office double-arc d.s. and "paq. fr./basse-terre guade" c.d.s. for 1 September; an unusual inter-island franking vai the British Post Office.
