Bahamas 1888 (13 Nov.) envelope to New York, headed "From No. 2365 Pte. E.J. Wellington 2nd B.W.I. Regiment", countersigned by Commanding Officer, bearing 1884 1d. pale rose cancelled "B" in oval of bars and showing, on reverse, Bahamas c.d.s. and New York "paid/all" duplex. Photo Estimate £ 1,200-1,500 Note: During November 1888, the 2nd. Battalion West India Regiment assembled at Jamaica prior to moving for triennial relief of the West Africa garrisons. This letter was written before the detachment at Bahamas joined the rest of the battalion at Jamaica.
