x Hong Kong, Victoria, pattern AE Cent, 1862, young crowned bust left, rev. one cent around central circle within wreath, crown within the circle, hong - kong 1862 around, cross and lion on each side (Pr.282), hairline abrasions from the die on the neck, extremely fine / good extremely fine , rare Estimate £ 800-1,000The pattern of what appear to be hairline ´scratches´ on the neck is identical on this specimen with lots 318, 319 and 320. The faint marks appear to be from the die, probably the result of an attempt to remove some imperfection.
