x Hong Kong, Victoria, mule pattern 10 Cents, 1862, crowned draped bust left, as on the Indian coinage, victoria queen, as lot 276 above, rev. ten cents within wreath, hong – kong 1862 around, as lots 274-5 above (Pr. - ; obv. of 244-7 with rev. of 241-3), brilliant, dark tone, good extremely fine / nearly FDC, exceedingly rare, apparently unrecorded, perhaps unique Estimate £ 1,500-1,800See Pr.253 for another mule pattern with the same reverse. The present mule was unknown to Pridmore.
