x Victoria Covers and Cancellations 1855 (29 Sept.) entire from Melbourne "p Donald M Kay via Liverpool" to U.S.A. , bearing 1854-55 Woodblock 6d. (2) each cancelled with barred oval "1" and with "new york /am packet" c.d.s. tying both of the adhesives, various rate marks (two deleted) and showing, on reverse, Melbourne and Australian Packet Liverpool d.s., and a strike of the "art 2" handstamp (2" torn away), one of less than ten examples recorded on Victoria mails to U.S.A.; a few small faults though a scarce and unusual item Estimate £ 350-400
