Victoria 1873-84 Issues 1878 Emergency printings 1/2d. rose-red on pink, two vertical strips of six and two vertical pairs all showing slightly misplaced perforations, cancelled by barred numeral "3" on 1878 (Mar.) envelope registered to Doyle´s Creek, redirected to West Maitland and again to Sydney, showing oval-framed "registered", "registered/geelong" c.d.s. (30.3), Melbourne c.d.s. (1.4 and 11.5) and, on reverse, Sydney (4.4 and 8.5) and West Maitland (5.4) datestamps; one 1/2d. defective. An attractive franking full of character. S.G. 195.
