Victoria 1873-84 Issues Essays by William Bell 1d., the head printed in grey-violet cut from a proof of the 2/- die, the frame handpainted in deep violet showing one number from the year date 1874 in each corner, the lower two numbers corrected in pencil to appear upright, on piece of card (54x75mm.); three pinholes well clear of design.
