Victoria Early Letters and Handstamps 1846 (5 July) entire letter from Gippsland to Scotland, rated "2/2" (deleted) and "2/3", showing almost complete framed "paid at/alberton" in red, "paid ship letter/sydney" oval d.s. in red with, on reverse, a fine strike of "alberton/new s. wales" oval d.s. along with various Scottish transit and arrival datestamps. The contents of the letter relate to local rumours that white women had been seen recently having been capture by Aborigines in November 1839 Estimate £ 250-300
