x Tanganyika - Mafia 1915 (Sept.) "g. r./post/mafia" handstamp in italic type on India I.E.F. values Postal Stationery German East Africa Yacht type 4h. green card handstamped in black, written on 16 December 1915 and sent to London, redirected to Hamble and then back to London, showing superb "passed by/censor" handstamp in violet, Hamble c.d.s. (15/1) and Norwood machine d.s. (16/1). Very rare, being one of only two such cards recorded. Holcombe Certificate (1995). Fullerton, R.N. He was the Commanding Officer of the Monitor squadron and was himself the captain of H.M.S. Severn. The German cruiser Konigsberg was blockaded in the Rufiji Delta in 1915 and the shallow draft monitors were sent out to sink her which they did successfully in July 1915.
