Chile 1853-67, a valuable assembly neatly mounted and arranged on F.G. "de luxe" album pages, notable for its overall extremely fine condition; included are 1853 Perkins, bacon 5c, unused without gum and used (5, one centrally cancelled in red and 20c. used (2, one remarkably fine and ex Caspary and Galvez); 1854 (Feb.) recess by Desmadryl 5c. reddish brown used block of four (very fine and rare), singles (2, one cancelled by part "chillan" handstamp) and another on entire to Don Jose V. Lastarria (famous historian); 1854 (Apr.) recess by Gillet 5c. burnt sienna used strip of four (superb and rare, ex Galvez), and a single with inverted watermark and 10c. used (4 with shades); 1854 (Apr.) litho by Gillet 5c. brown used pair with inverted watermark and two singles; 1854 (Sept.) recess by Desmadryl 10c. used (4); 1855 (May) Second London Printing 5c. unused with part original gum and used (13 with a marginal pair and three strip of three) and 10c. plate proof in black marginal block of four; 1856-62 Post Office Printings 5c. used range of shades with a very fine horizontal strip of six (ex Galvez), pairs (2) on separate entires, 10c. with diagonal bisects (3) on entire (addressee´s name excised) to Valparaiso, and later issues with 1861 -62 selection including 20c. unused (2), used (3, one cancelled in blue) and another on entire.
