Hong Kong 1880 5c. and 10c. Surcharges 10c. on 16c. yellow, variety surcharge double, cancelled by a light strike of Shanghai "S1" in black; the variety is partly obscured by the postmark but is quite evident on the figures of value. A fresh and fine example of this rare error, only three have been recorded. R.P.S. Certificate (2003), S.G. 26b, £75,000. Photo Estimate HK$ 200,000-250,000This is the third example of this error to be recorded; all are cancelled by the Shanghai "S1".
