China World War 2 Mail Anti-Bandit Chops 1940-42, a group of airmail covers from Chungking to Britain, each bears Chung Hwa or Dah Tung dollar values with framed or unframed anti-bandit handstamps, one registered sent "via Rangoon to Durban by air mail and from there by surface transport" and had a complicated routing via Brazil (the cross Atlantic route was only used for ten days); two cover backs from Chungking bearing $1 (7) and $5 with control handstamp; also envelope from Chengtu to U.S.A. "via Clipper and air mail in the U.S.A.", rated at $8.50 with four $2 bearing Chengtu anti-bandit handstamps. A good group. (6 covers, 2 backs) Estimate HK$ 3,000-4,000
