China World War 2 Mail Anti-Bandit Chops 1940 (5 Aug.) opened-out envelope sent registered airmail from the German Embassy in Chungking to Munich "via Hami-Alma Ata Moskau-Berlin", flown all the way by the Russian airmail service before its termination by the German invasion, bearing Dah Tung $1 (faults) and Chung Hwa $2, both with framed anti-bandit handstamps and tied by Chungking despatch c.d.s. with the registration and air mail etiquette at left, German censor tape on reverse with red handstamp and two arrival datestamps. A very scarce routing and a marvelous combination. Photo
