China Dowagers First Print 1898 (5 Jan.) red band Maus cover addressed to Germany bearing 3ca. orange-yellow (a second example lost in transit) tied by Woosung Dollar chop, the reverse with 1897 I.C.P. 4c. tied by a fine strike of the Woosung Dollar chop, making the 10c. rate; Hong Kong 10c. purple on red applied where one 3ca. fell off and is tied by Shanghai c.d.s.; Shanghai Dollar chop at left showing the error reversed "N" in "JAN". An attractive and appealing cover with the scarce combination of candareens and cents, the Woosung Dollar chop is fairly scarce. Ex David. Photo Estimate HK$ 8,000-10,000
