George III, countermarked 8 Reales, 1799, Lima, bust of Charles IV right stamped with a false countermark of George III within octagon, rev. similar to preceding (cf. ESC 140A; S.3766), four small gouge marks on obverse, coin nearly very fine, countermark very fine. Estimate £ 250-300It is significant that the forger was careless enough to stamp the countermark at an incorrect angle to the bust of Charles IV
