A Piper´s Plaid Brooch of the 91st Highlanders A good white metal quoit, 33/4in. diameter, in the form of a Strap, struck with inscription NE OBLIVISCARIS XCI, and bearing the Boar´s Head mounted in the voided centre (prong of pin missing) See illustration Estimate £ 80-120This pattern is believed to have been worn by pipers of the 91st from 1872, when the Boar´s Head was authorised, until the amalgamation with the 93rd in 1881.
