An Officer´s Plaid Brooch of the Seaforth Highlanders A cast silver thistle wreath (HM Edinburgh 1881) bearing fifteen battle-honour scrolls, the central void mounted with a princely coronet and cypher L above the Stag´s Head See illustration Estimate £ 300-400This brooch must have been one of the original tranche produced on the amalgamation of the 72nd and 78th Highlanders in 1881. The cypher is that of Leopold, Duke of Albany.
