On the edge of the Medal is to be inscribed ´The Gift of the Master of the Mint to the Earl of Liverpool´ and so of the rest according to the name: His Royal Highness the Commander in Chief The Earl of Harrowby Lord Eldon Earl of Westmoreland Earl of Liverpool Rt. Hon. N. Vansittart Lord Viscount Melville Earl of Mulgrave Lord Viscount Sidmouth Lord Viscount Castlereagh Earl Bathurst Rt. Hon. Charles Bathurst Rt. Hon. Charles Long James W. Morrison Esq. John Barton Esq. Robert Bingley Esq. William Dickson Esq. James Lawson Esq. The Provost of the Company of Moneyers Thomas Wyon Esq. Rt. Hon. George Canning Marquis Wellesley Lady Eleanor Butler Rt. The Speaker at the time was Charles Abbot, later 1st Baron Colchester (1757-1829). Although the medal refers to his Office, it was in fact awarded to him personally, and has never formed part of the Speaker´s official regalia.
