Gold Coast 1940 (June) envelopes ex the same correspondence registered from Accra and Tafo to England franked at 1/6d. and with "9" censor cachet in red, both somewhat charred at edges through having been recovered from an air crash and placed in French ambulance envelopes with hand-drawn registration marks of origin with each showing "service postal français/Correspondence retardée/par accident D'Avion/Prière de ne pas taxer." and "detained in france/during german/occupation." cachets in violet.
