BURMA 1940 Centenary of the First Postage Stamps Issue 1a. essay trial overprints on 2a.6p. claret and 3a. dull violet, each inscribed "commemoration/penny postage/6th may 1840" and affixed to piece of notepaper from Thomas Archer to the Master, Security Printing dated 5 February, accompanied by an official photograph of the presentation card with the same two trials which was submitted for approval and a 1940 (19 Mar.) letter from the Posts and Telegraphs Office to an employee of the Irrawaddy Flotilla Co., Ltd which accompanied the photo presentation card.
