BURMA Republic of the Union of Burma 1949 selection of covers (6) to India posted during the Civil War, variously franked but due to air services at this time being suspended each stamped with boxed cross enclosing "by surface route" handstamp, and 1950 envelope from G.B. to Mawchi franked at 1/- and undelivered due to the same conflict; also 1953 envelopes (2) to England and Zanzibar from members of the British Services Mission, each showing boxed "british services/mission to burma/headquarters" datestamp.
