BURMA The Chin Hills District Haka 1943 (20 June) double rate airmail envelope (opened-out) to Ireland, bearing India 1a. carmine block of four twice cancelled with "bridge" type c.d.s. and, on reverse, a further 1a. carmine block of twelve cancelled at Palel with "113" datestamps (a special number alloted to a civil post office for use on military mail which was not handled by an F.P.O.), and with triangular-framed censor cachet in violet alongside the block of four, two different censor labels at left; the envelope with portion of reverse missing and other faults though it shows well. A rare usage of Indian adhesives from Haka. Photo
