BURMA The Chin Hills District Falam 1942 (31 Oct.) brown OHMS envelope (253x115mm., some creases) envelope to the Burma Supply Office and Aijal and redirected locally to The Superintendent, bearing Official 6p. bright blue and 1a. purple-brown pair neatly cancelled with "bridge" type c.d.s and showing triangular-framed censor handstamp in violet alongside, arrival c.d.s. (13.11) on reverse. Photo Estimate £ 250-300 Note: The normal supply of "service" stamps became exhausted in September 1942. After the release of ordinary postage stamps (for overprinting with a typewriter) was made from the Falam Treasury, a further supply of low value "service" stamps was made available and these are known used from October 1942
