BURMA Japanese Occupation Issues Postal Stationery Burmese Independence Army An unused selection of the Peacock overprints in various types; comprising postcards (3) and envelopes (9, one believed to have been overprinted at Pyapon and one incorrectly handstamp "Forgey" on reverse. Also Henzada S.G. Type 6 overprint on seven different Postage values, fresh mint, and a sixteen impressions of the handstamp struck in violet on a local card in c. 1960 Estimate £ 150-200 Note: The card referred to in the above lot lists accomodation requests for the Strand Hotel in Rangoon. Those listed comprise C.C. Khoo, a well known philatelist, T.S. Choo, a well known dealer, and U. Tun Tin, a postal officer before the war and D.D. P.&T. during the Japanese Occupation and in 1945 during the B.M.A.
