BURMA Japanese Occupation Issues Japanese Army Administration 1942 (1 June) 1a. Red Yano Seal Issue A double sheet of thick yellowish line-perforated laid paper in a form as used for the issue of this stamp, 208 impressions with some showing parts of the "Elephant/titaghur/superfine" watermark in a form similar to that used for the 15 June 1a. farmer stamp; folded vertically at centre and about seventeen impressions with some gum stains. A very rare sheet given to Gerald Davis by U Tun Tin, Deputy Director of Posts and Telegraphs, Burma, in June 1945. Also a sheet of wove paper watermarked "absorber/duplicator" and marked in ink "Sample of the "Elephant Brand" paper, from the Titagarh Paper Mills, Calcutta" in the handwriting of A.E.
