St. Helena Boer War The following five lots are all ex one correspondence from Germany 1902 (Feb.) envelope registered and franked at 40pf., showing two strikes of the triangular-framed "passed by/censor/deadwood." (BW. 5) in claret, one on reverse, with St. Helena c.d.s. alongside and with black on yellow "opened under/martial law." label affixed over edge at top; central vertical crease though a very rare application of a Martial Law label almost certainly applied on the island.
