Gurkhas.), minor official correction to unit, otherwise extremely fine Estimate £ 400-450 Lieutenant Colonel Arthur George Boileau Lang, born 1861; Lieutenant 1st Battalion 1st Gurkha Regiment, 1882; Lieutenant attached Bengal Staff Corps, 1884; Captain (Wing Officer) 1st Gurkhas, 1893; severely wounded in the defence of Wana Camp (3.11.1894), during which the 1st Gurkhas faced the initial surprise attack by the Mulla´s 1500 men; British casualties totalling 45 killed and 75 wounded (Frontier and Overseas Expeditions From India Vol. II, refers); Major 2nd in Command, 1901; Lieutenant Colonel 1907; retired 1912.
