R.); Queen´s South Africa, four clasps, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (Pte. Essex Regt); Khedive´s Star 1884-6, unnamed, light pitting on first medal, this and the Star very fine, the other extremely fine (3) Estimate £ 260-300 Private James Collins, born Camberwell, London; attested for the Royal West Surrey Regiment, January 1882, and transferred to the Essex Regiment in March of that year; he served at Gibraltar, Egypt, Malta, Cyprus, India and South Africa and on his discharge, 17.1.1903, had completed 21 years service.
