India, Chalukya, Somesvara IV (c1181-1189), AV Pagoda, 3.35g., heroic figure running right with one arm raised, rev. Kannada script: dasa(pa) mura(ri) (MSI.I.282), weakly struck, especially on reverse, very fine/about extremely fine Estimate £ 100-120 "Dasapa Murari" is a title of the king meaning "he who scattered Murari". This epithet could only relate to Somesvara who defeated, and hence "scattered", the Kalachuris.
