Wells started his career as an agent for Harden Express, then founded Wells and Company, which was the first express firm to offer service west of Buffalo. Fargo was a messinger for Wells and Company, eventually became a partner, and eventually became the president of American Express. VF+, nicely matted with portraits of Wells and Fargo, suitable for framing.
