A 19th Century Bronze Tibetan White Tara
Finely cast bronze White Tara, the female deity for health, healing and long life. She is the embodiment of wisdom and purity. Cast in the round, seated in vajrasana, holding a flame tipped sword in her raised right hand. The left hand in charity giving varada mudra, raised with thumb and first finger touching. Adorned in a simple dhoti and elaborate beaded jewelry, the serene face with a gentle smile beneath a high tiara inlaid with a central turquoise stone. Seated on integral lotus base having a copper base plate, stamped with double dorji. Excellent condition. Height 29cm. Width 22.8cm.
