maritime: 1894-1917, a fascinating group comprising 1912-24 1/2d. to 3d., 5d., 6d., 7d., 10d., 1/- and Seahorse 2/6d., each on small piece tied by superb strikes of the "fleet post office" c.d.s., also 1914-15 envelopes (one being a 3d. postal stationery envelope) similarly cancelled, 1912-24 1d. on piece tied by very rare "birmingham/ship" c.d.s., also 1887-92 ´Jubilee´ 3d. and 6d. each with very fine, almost complete strikes of an intriguing standard type steel c.d.s. reading "navigation" (both dated 9 August 1894; a very fine, attractive and rare assembly.
