GREEN 1841 1d., DH, margins all round, on envelope to Macclesfield dated 30 March 1854, tied by superb strike of the bright green “546” numeral of Newcastle (Staffs.), the reverse with corresponding double-arc d.s. in the same colour; crease crosses adhesive and short filing note at left though neither detracting from the wonderful appearance of this very rare cover.
