Great Britain 1860-70 prepared for use but unissued 11/2d. rosy mauve, FF, affixed to card showing proof impression on the 11/2d. lilac-rose Postal Stationery value (with date slugs for 2.4.60), the card measuring 125x78mm, both with ´specimen´ handstamp type 2; the adhesive with defective corner at top-right, the impressed value overlapped by light rectangular patch of toning, otherwise fine and most attractive. One of very few known examples. This item is illustrated on page 218 of ´Specimen Stamps and Stationery of Great Britain´ by Samuel and Huggins. Photo Estimate £ 280-300
