CJ-CL strip of three, used together with 1841 1d. vertical pair and block of four, on large entire (having been turned and re-used – originally pre-paid without adhesives), addressed to Richard Cobden M.P. (Anti-Corn Law reformer) in Manchester, then re-addressed to George Moffat (Mercantile Committee member) in London, the 1d. values tied by black “131” of Edinburgh, the 2d. strip (paying the redirection fee) tied by light strikes of the black Manchester “498” numeral; various faults or defects though still fine, attractive and an extremely unusual usage.
